Don't discount Thunderhill; Laguna Seca, it ain't, but it's BIG FUN!
For those planning to come out from the east coast or other far away points, please note that we are working out cooperative agreements with automotive shippers who will be sponsors, to make it easier for you to attend! The way it was presented to me last year, if you can fill a transport with one pick up and drop off, you get a GREAT deal. One way from Dallas to Asheville was going to be only $500 per car if we filled the transport (7 cars)! Obviously, it will be more expensive from east coast to west, but keep it in mind! It's my intent to drive one way and ship back (I was waaayyyyy too sleep deprived and hung over to even THINK about driving back again after S2Kdays 02!)

It would be pretty hard to accommodate all the possible attendees in Willow unless, of course, you rented the Wal-Mart there for the weekend and turned it into a barracks. There's a thought, they have a garage there and stuff, plus a really big parking lot, too... Hmmmm
Yes, here's this hick town in the middle of nowhere with hardly anything except a racetrack, a couple of motels and a Wal-Mart. End of June, it will be hot there, but no hotter than when we were there with Krazik and that was bearable.
Sacramento is about 90 miles away, and Sonoma is 75 from Sacramento, although I presume there's a shorter route from Sonoma to Willow. Anyway, I'm sure you folks will work something out.
Yes, as Sondra said (and she should know, she's been there, too), Thunderhill is a lot of fun. Going into turn 1 and through turn 5 were especially memorable in my opinion.
Looking forward to it. It's an easy 600-700 miles for me.

Correction on Greg's post above - we have Laguna on Jan 14. It is a Monday.
Back to S2KDays - Keep watching for updates - we are in the negotiations for an HQ hotel right now. So once we get that, most of the costs will be ID'd and sign-up will begin.

It will be HOT. I spent a full day there and it was a blast. Those who are organizing this should also look at getting gas to the track. It's about 7 miles to the nearest gas station and the cost of gas at the track is outrageous.
