I just ended up putting in a new battery in my MY2K @24k miles. Well, the dealer did, since it's still on warranty. But he claimed it was the third they'd done in recent months (and they don't get that many S2K's at my dealer.) His said the cause was raising/lowering the top with the engine off, but I have my doubts. Any other thoughts?

 

I also have a MY00 with ~15K. I have had slow cranking problems with mine for about a year in both hot and cold temps. I didn't realize that Honda would warrantee it. I'll have to check into this. Thanks!

 

I agree, the stock battery isn't that great.
