Dont you just love it when you order shat for you s2k, forget about it then come home and see it on your door step? Well today i got my soft top with glass window for my 01 s2000 also received my Tanabe GripFeeling 210's and a ipod hook up... now i installed my aem v2 cai and Tanabe medallion exhaust myself, is it possible for me to put in my own springs and top my self? Or should i get it proffesionally installed

I love that Christmas feeling...until the bill comes!!

You can do the springs yourself; it's pretty easy. However, you will need to get a spring compressor (you should be able to rent one for free at your local AutoZone). Not sure about the top...

I was talking to a buddy and i know this sounds kinda wierd but he a spring compreesor is unnecessary, is it possible without the tool? THANKS!

i think autozone charges 50 bucks but thats a security deposit and they give it back when you return it. springs are easy just be careful because when you compress the springs theres gonna be a lot of potential energy there and if the compressors are not even well its gonna be cookies

the top might be a little complicated. springs are easy with a breaker bar and spring compressors (yes you need them)

Nice ill get on the springs this weekend with the spring compressor ofcourse, and for the top, i just found out my neighbor use to be at a convertable top installer(lucky me), ill take pics and let you guys know how it went, thanks

WOW...a convertible top installer...you REALLY lucked out. he used to specifically install convertible tops..

use this but ignore the part about the yellow shocks and the pizza box and what not:

when you get to the part where you take off the part on top of the stock shock, you need to hold the screw in the middle in place with an allen wrench and turn the nut with a wrench.
