Actually, if I remember correctly, the SAME day Ry got his hardtop, he was inquiring how to remove the window. I think adding verticle bars to the rear space (window removed, would allow you to have one large rectangle piece and two much smaller pieces of curved plastic, if you placed them as far apart as you could while maintaining a 2D plane. I don't think it would disrupt the aerofoil too much either.
