Trying to rev the snot out of a cold engine is very, very bad for it. Warm your car up fully and completely (a few minutes after the temperature gauge hits it's third bar) before driving it hard, or else you're just trashing it.

Metals expand at different rates and the oil will not be up to temperature when cold. Beating on it like that is horrible for it.

To be honest it's bad for any engine, Honda at least tried to save you from making a mistake that would be more costly than overrevving your Cavalier, just try and remember next time!

Wow. This has got to be on the level of this kid I know whose parents bought him an S2000. The dude only used the clutch to shift into 1st and shifted through the rest of the gears without using the clutch. The obvious consequence of that was that he started ****ing shit up very quickly. And this is actually a true story.

Seriously, you should get a grasp on the basic knowledge of cars before you consider doing anything along those lines again.

See the C ---- H in the lower left? Three boxes is normal operating temp, you need at least two to switch over to VTEC.

When I start my S after not driving it for any more than 4 hours or so, it won't rev past 7k, in gear or not. and VTEC doesn't kick in either. This only happens for maybe a minute or so after I start it and then it's back to normal, but I was just wondering what it could possibly be.
It could be that you need to

BTW, it's in the secret compartment.
