Default Weird Question: S2000 Rental?

Just curious if anyone knows of a dealer or rental agency willing to rent an S2000 in California for a few days.
Here's the reason I ask. My wife and I live on the east coast and have only visited the west coast briefly (four days in Santa Barbra). It could be the 'grass is greener syndrome', but we have always wanted to take a week and drive from San Diego to San Francisco (or maybe even Seattle if we can afford the time). Now making this trip in a rented Kia or Pontiac Grand Am just isn't what the trip is about, but the S2k is perfect for the trip (ok...so we'll pack light )
Anyway, if anyone has any tips, leads or information that might help, I would be extremely appreciative.
Thanks

I was going to rent one at Beverly Hills Budget since no dealer would let me test drive theirs. They charge $200/day with 50 free miles and then .50 cents for every mile thereafter.

Last I checked, Beverly Hills Budget sold their S2K. I think there's a place in Newport Beach that has one (that might be the Specialty Car Rentals mentioned earlier). If you're open to other cars, Pasadena Rent-a-Car has some nice cars and they're great people with good rates. I rented a Boxster from them and had a blast (except when the alignment went haywire, but they reimbursed me for that snaffu).

Ah, this reminds me of my first S2K experience. Wife and I rented one in L.A. -- I think it was Marina Del Rey, actually -- and drove it for a day. A couple bills, but worth it. Wow, what fun. Now I own one.

We found it by just checking yellow pages under car rental. (I imagine you can check this online and with a few phone calls.) There are lots of agencies that rent exotics along with their regulars. Have fun!
