weird remarks everytime i go to a gas station
everytime i go to a gas station, sometimes ill get alot of compliments on my car and other times i get the stupidest remarks ive heard. like the other day when i was in NY for the headlight clearing party the kid working there was like "this is a 6 cylinder right?" and today back in NJ the 3 guys at the gas station are checkin out my car and one of them comes up to me and says "this is a rotary right"? and im like WTF? i just said no, its a 2liter vtec, and he was like oh ok and walked away. i mean, most of the times i get nice remarks on my car but other times its like what the hell are u thinkin? anybody else get some weird dumb remarks at a gas station or somethin
Yeah, I get those sometimes. You have to realize that this car is still a rare sight on the street. Enthusiasts know some info on them, but a majority haven't even SEEN the car (Hard to believe, I know).
I try to educate these folks, instead of dismissing them as morons. Who knows, that person may turn out to be the next S2K owner, and he may have new ideas for our car and website.
I now carry the "S2KI greeting card" all the time, to hand out and put on unsuspecting S2Ks with new dealer plates.

It's gotten to the point where I can't stand going to the gas station anymore. I try to go early in the morning when there are fewer people around. The cheap station I go to is designed in such a way that the cars are pretty close to each other. For whatever reason, this car ALWAYS attracts comments from one or more strangers. It feels like I'm putting on a show for everyone. God forbid I should open the hood to check the oil; people would think I was really showing off.
I know it's probably just me, but I'm not an extremely outgoing person.
