Default Welding on the subframes???

I have done an inspection on a s2000, which I have put deposite on it. The report stating that the front subframes have been welded / rewelded somehow and it looks like being damaged before. I know that the S2000 has a different subframes layout than typical automobile. So do u guys think that that welding found on the the front subframes are normal or repair works??
If that is repair works, will the structure of the car affected???

Thx thx thx~~~

Danny.

best way to test for an accident is to read the VIN# on the body panels. EVERY panel is labeled with the original VIN.

There are welds on the subframe but I'm not sure what you are saying. Are there welds from a repair or that aren't painted? The subframe is not that expensive, about $600 I think. I also can't think of why it would be welded unless one of the original welds broke. It would have been bent and straightened if anything.

the subframe is a separate part and is welded onto the bottom. The bottom of the car is a sheet of stamped steel, and they weld the front and rear subframe onto the car at the factory. somtimes it can look like it was added; it is definitely not a "stock looking" part.

you'll have to provide a pic. best bet is to check the VIN on the suspect panels.

the sub frame is not welded to the car. wrong there

They both un bolt.

In the front the upper a-arms are welded to the frame, but the front rest of the suspension is on the subframe.

The subframes front and rear are held on with 6 bolts each.
