Insurance company has the car. Motor and tranny will obviously be pulled as they were mint w/ only 17.5k on them. I am sure they will part it out.

That is really a shame 1.8T. Another sad note, my wife slid ours off the driveway last night into the trees.

Wrinkled the driver door, quater panel, and punched the quarter panel valence (you know, the end of the bumper cover) up under the quarter.

Waited 2 hours for the tow truck to pull it out then he decides that he can't get around the car safely to get in front of the car to pull it so I still had to find some to pull me out with the tow guy's chain.

It started to snow around 6 last night in Cincinnati and wasn't supposed to start till late so my wife got caught out.

The damage to the silver S is bad enough, but wow -- what did you hit in the yellow S to make it look like that?

Woah, look! Rear seats!

Seriously... While I hate reading about wrecked S's, I do like hearing about people walking away unhurt.

You a ballistics specialist? Seems like hitting 40 or 50 would be hard to differentiate.
As a matter of fact, I am an analyst. The difference between 40 mph and 50 mph is more than one would think. 50 mph is 1.25 times greater than 40 mph. I was being conservative when I estimated a speed of 50 mph upon impact. I will speculate to say that this car was doing in between 50-60 mph. I have no hard facts other than what I saw in the pic, so I am merely speculating.

I have seen many, many accidents over the years on the street and on the racetrack. I know a thing or two.

Sucks that it is totaled
