It's ok today I went to return a part and this couple was looking at a Civic SI Sedan when a cars salesman walks up and tells them its fast and asked if they saw 2 fast 2 furious. The couple said no and he goes because it was in the movie.
I was like omg! Doh!

Hahaha, was it Honda West or Findlay. West had them marked up rediculous.......just like their parts counter. I used to get the same parts MUCH cheaper in San Diego, and was shocked when they said $30 for a cabin filter!!!! I told them I can get it for $20 online (HandA, HTG, etc.) plus shipping, so he marked it down to $25 which was close enough for me. Not worth the hassle IMO. I just plan ahead when I go down to SD and have a shopping list.
As far as the last year.................their gonna be right EVENTUALLY.

Well ... I'm sure the saleman would get some business by saying that!
You see, there are two (main) senarios:
1. The client is a person like you who knows that no one knows for a fact 2007 is the last year or not yet. Those people will just ignore his comment, and probably have a decision in mind to buy an S2000 or not.
2. The client is a person who has no clue and believes him; that client would probably have a greater chance of buying the car after hearing the news, and would be more likely to get sucked into buying the car at MSRP as well!
So ... the saleman really has nothing to lose

At least they didn't tell you what they told told me when I went to get the tranny fluid:
me: I neen MANUAL transmission fluid for a 05 s2000
service rep: Is that an AUTOMATIC?
I almost shit my pants, dealers know nothing!

If you want scams/lies/high pressure, just go to a Power group dealership. I purchased my Celica from one and thought their 8 hours of BS was just a one-time thing. Then my girlfriend started looking at cars... out of seven dealerships we visited, I only have problems at the three different Power dealers.
