Went to pickup S2K today
So I went to pickup "my" S2k today, 2004 model Suzuka Blue. I really want a Suzuka Blue S2000 and found one in great condition, low miles (15k), Honda certified with a clean carfax. I spent time with the Service Manager looking at the car on the rack, went through it with my HDS scan tool to make sure it was good...checked the warranty history for obvious hack-jobs by technicians. This thing was perfect.
The dealer had it on "hold" for my since Monday until I could get the $$ out of my stock market account with Etrade. Well, goofball me didn't sign anything other than a handshake that I would be back Wednesday afternoon with $ in hand to drive it away.
Well, this morning the dealer sold it. I'm not pi$$ed too bad, but it would be nice to be driving a S2k with the top down on the way home.
No point to this thread other than the lost opportunity.
On to the next one!
Thanks for listening.

A salesman once told me that money talks and Bul**hit wallks.
My S was in the back of the dealership waiting to be shipped to another dealer the next day for a customer wanting the color.
It went home with me instead.

helmet155, i've been on the other end of that situation.. before i bought it, i had my s2k shipped from another location, with a deposit on it.. when i got to my local dealer, to my surprise it was out on the showroom floor. dealer claimed they didn't know and that nobody had taken it for a test drive.. ha! got some freebies out of it though

salespeople are dirt
I always avoid dealing with the "sales associate of the year" winner at the dealership.
I presume he/she won the award by milking the most money out of the marks that come thru the door.
Dunno if it's true or not...just makes me a bit guarded.
