We're a Fortunate Bunch
Someone IM'd me earlier regarding this post. I had about 3 other things going at the time and when I responded and went to hit send, I accidently closed the IM. Please try again...It was an unintentional mistake
If you would like to help contacting charities or dealerships PM Colombino and he'll let you know what he could use some help on, and he'll also give you any information you may need.
A great idea, guys and gals!
Just so you guys know, there's a friendly "competition" between mustangworld.com and honda-tech.com for a Christmas charity drive. It would be great if you guys could be a part of it. The more groups that reach out, the better it is for everyone!
(not to mention, to get rid of bad import stereo types.) Great job!

Happy holidays to everyone!

Hey things are coming together nicely! We have a good number of volunteers starting to emerge. Keep em coming, don't be afraid to do something that'll make both you and someone else feel great this holiday!
BobsS2000 is the official Point of Contact for the Los Angeles event. He'll be in contact with all you CA vols. I'm going to head up the Denver leg and will do the same. We're still working to find a Dallas POC, stocks2k will do it but he will be very busy so if anyone would like to help him, I'm sure he'd appreciate it!
I've posted a follow up note in the Meets and Events forum

This post makes me proud to be a member of this board!
We've pretty much narrowed it down to the Ronald McDonald House since they have RMH's throughout the world. This will allow our overseas members to participate as well. This afternoon I spoke to Karen at the Loma Linda, CA RMH and she was thrilled and extremely appreciative that s2k members would consider RMH's as their choice of a charity. She informed me that they have kids aged anywhere from newborn to 17 years of age and that gifts "can" be delivered directly to the kids or dropped off at the office, whichever donators prefer. That means we'll have a need for s2k drivers...
We will be setting up a PayPal account for anyone wishing to contribute rather than car pooling gifts and/or donations to local RMH's. Karen stated that they would like names and addresses of everyone contributing as they'd like to send "Thank You" letters to each contributor.
I've been designated as the CA contact, so anyone from CA can email me at BobsS2000@aol.com. All others should email Colombino for further details.
We're asking everyone to help by contacting their local Honda dealers to see what support/contribution they may be interested in making...afterall, this is an s2k event and a very worthy cause.
Thanks for your support!
