Default Wet Convertible Top

My new BLACK/Red '01 is being delivered this afternoon. I'll need to wash her RIGHT AWAY ! Is it okay to open the Top when its still wet, or is it preferable to wait a bit for the top to dry. Is it 4:00 PM yet ?
Thanks

Congratulations, and do not put top down wet. I almost always wash my car with top down and rarely ever put top up. Just put windows up a be carful with water spray. Have done this way many times and never had a problem.

Definitely DO NOT put the top down when it is wet. You can have mold problems and other nasty stuff if you do this.

You can also scratch your rear plastic window very very easily. Throw a soft cotten towel in the roof well temporarily or look at getting one of our custom made Muz Roof Well Mats to protect it.

I'm missing something here.

Why wash your car this way? Is there a logical reason for this or is this an example of "Jawjun" logic?
