Yep. saying Drag racing isn't important is very conceited.

In F1, they basically drag launch to the first corner. Drag racing skills apply here...

in ProSolo, you have to drag-launch into the 1st corner as well...

Go-karting, depending on your class, will have a drag launch involved.

darkfx... 111 days huh? I bet you know alot.
I guess I missed the part in the owners manual that says exactly what the S2000 should be used for. Could you please quote that portion of the manual for me?

I just have few questions for the bigots. Could you please give me a list of all the cars that ARE designed for drag racing? All the street legal cars I'm aware of were designed for street use. Aren't road racers and autocrossers also bad people because they are driving cars designed for the street in competition? Why all the bigotry against drag racing and not other forms of racing? Am I missing something, or is this all just bigotry powered by ignorance?

.347...... is that added to .500, or .400. cause you should be on a sportsman tree, at .500 (half second light). or if you requested (for birun) you could run protree, at .400. (all yellows flash at once, then green). so .347 would have been a redlight. unless they give you that as an addition to what tree you ran, which ive never seen. lates.

No, the ignorance has run rampid in this thread.

You guys jumped my ass this morning because I wanted to know why people have been buying S2000s to drag race. You guys flipped assuming that I was not asking but telling this guy "WTF are you doing, you can't use your car for that!". If I wanted to drag a car, I would look for one that was easily modable and capable of putting down large amounts of torque, not a torqueless 4-cylinder.

If you want to go run a few times to see your time, fine. No prob, best of luck. But if you bought an S2000 to take to the drag strip every weekend I have to ask "why?" because there are many other cars which are better to do that with than an S2000.

I sincerely appoligize for ever opening my mouth. I appoligize to s2kboii. I also appoligize to S2Kboii for some of these people.

darkfx, your age is showing. Those kind of comments are not needed nor are welcome here.

Trap is about right but you can't drive. You should be AT LEAST 2.0 with street tires and 1.7-1.8 on drag radials.

I was able to do 1.8 60 foots on drag radials in both my fwd vehicles (1 was open diff as well)

Don't F1 cars all have very advanced traction control systems that harness the 900 or whatever hp off the line? I don't think most F1 drivers could even manually feather the clutch and modulate the gas with 900 hp and no weight off the line.

But hey, I used to drag race all the time until I found autocross.

many tracks seem to be foregoing the .500 as a perfect light now. our local track (even on competition days) now uses .000 as a perfect light. your reaction time now starts on the green, instead of on the 3rd yellow. (or in the case of the .400 pro tree, the yellow(s))
