I would love to make a few xtra ponies with the intake/exhaust mods, but I am also very concious of the sound...anyone care to elaborate on the sound of their mods?

You might not be able find any exhaust mods out there that would give you a few extra ponies. Not with the ones we've seen dyno proven by the members on this board (HKS, Comptech, Neuspeed, Mugen, etc). But if you are in for the sound, you have several choices as were listed.

Well, even better than extra ponies, most of the aftermarket exhaust systems offer reduced weight. That gives increased acceleration with the same power that you had before with the additional benefit of improved cornering. Is it a small and subtle difference? Sure! So buy for the sound and small performance gain ... or leave it stock. The Mugen header yields modest power improvements in the midrange of the power curve, which is another "good thing". In either case, I can't justify the benefits for the cost ... yet .

Power improvements haven't been proven for intakes, though some like the different sound.

If you want to hear what RM Racing Products sound like watch my doughnut movie in my sig.
The sound goes something like this:
Intake.....Exhuast....Intake.....Exhuast.....Intak e.....Exhuast as the car rotates.
My rev limiter got a workout.

Neuspeed: all i can say is LOUD! i heard dale's white/red from the 15th floor of my building.. and about 100yards away. spotted him flying threw downtown.

HKS: is my favorite so far.. not as loud as neuspeed but has a deepy throaty note.
