Default What caused Honda to up the liters by .2?

Tried searching for a similar thread, didn't pull anything up. I want to know why Honda increased the liters on the engine from 2.0 to 2.2?

Some say for a better daily driving experience, the low to mid(before v-tec) power. After installing a single exhaust in my AP1 i felt the low to mid power was better than a stock AP2.

yes and t lower the red line because many complained it was just too much. Maybe they wanted to change the car up a bit. make it a little difference to interest people more.

Ive heard different stories about the redline. Someone said they lowered the redline so that if drivers were to over rev it wouldn't be so bad, less mechanical problems.

They lowered the redline because people complained?

Or... Maybe it was the higher piston speed because of the increased stroke.

Let's complain more and maybe Honda will come out with a brand new S.

Americans demanded more torque. That's why we were the only ones with the 2.2 for the first few couple years after its introduction.
