Default What is the cutout circle on the front bumper?

Never figured this out yet. But what is that circle cutout found on the front bumper?

And one other, for all the overseas S2K's, what are those 2 black molding pieces found mounted directly under each headlight?

Just curious thats all...
Thanks.

The circle is for your tow hook. Open it up and screw in the tow hook.

The black things are headlight washers.

Can I suggest that you read the owners manual?

Ahhh, now I see. Thanks for clarifying that for me. Pretty cool ideas Honda comes up with. Sort of like Mercedes and their headlight washers.

Sorry about that. Mines on order and will be delivered in April. Haven't ever looked at the manual yet. So you see...

i don't think it's done to be cool, it's requirements for some places in europe. In fact, a lot of people take them off cause they look ugly

The headlight washers are the most useless part on the S. Think of it this way - you have a nice clean car and while driving down the road either the driver or passenger accidently press the headlight washer button. Now you probably think that this would clean the headlights. The answer is no you get water sprayed on the bonnett....

Most people in Aus get the headlight washer disconnected very quickly after buying the S.

Ahhhh, thanks for mentioning about the windshield washer mounts. The first time I actually saw an S on the road was down in Christchurch, New Zealand. A red one, and I just had to know why those were there. So I guess it is a regulation then. When I return in a few days, I'll snap some photos of their new 2002 models at the dealership. There was a silver model there last year.

Headlight washers are required on HID lighting in the UK.
