Sorry Jim, I forgot - now that you mention it, I think you indicated this on another thread. Also, sorry for misspelling your last name.

I have been talking to RT and I think I might have a bad/marginal MAP sensor. None of the fixes have really done it for me, they all seem to be about the same (with some small variations). There is a new configuration which RT and I have been trying and it works fine for RT, but not for me.

I will definitely order a new MAP sensor soon. First, however, I am going tomorrow to see if I can get the dealer to swap one out of one of the new cars they have (same sensor on 4-cyl accords & preludes, according to RT). I'll keep everyone posted.

And finally, no I am not a mathematician, I just think carefully about what I write.

RT, not to be an a$$ or anything, but how do you know this? Has Comptech told you they'll have a solution w/in a couple of weeks? Just curious.

I hate to start a whole new thread repeating all of this; but:

I'm in Houston, lots'o'humidity, the 3.0 check valve fixed my problems. 3.10 is installed currently. I'm completely satisfied with the SC.

Wesmaster, my bad...I completely forgot that you live in Houston. So, do you have any problems at all now? So, what have you raced so far after SC'ing it?

Well, perhaps I have other problems. I went to the dealer this morning and they were nice enough to let me swap MAP sensors from another S2000 - made no difference at all. Also, FYI, the 4-cyl prelude uses the exact same sensor.

I can go on record now as saying that NO non-electronic FIX THAT COMPTECH OR ANYONE ELSE HAS COME UP WITH HAS FIXED MY PROBLEM. There is either something unique to the conditions around here or something unique to my car that keeps any of the non-electronic solutions from working for me.

The only thing I have not tried are the electronic fixes - ghostbooster, Split Second limiter.

I will just have to work with Comptech to resolve my particular problem. Until then, as long as I limit shifts to 4000 rpm and don't give it more than 1/4 throttle, she drives fine!

Rumor has it their back order is 30 deep and we've got at least two (maybe three, still testing) working solutions that Comptech is aware of. I guaranty you they ain't going to get to back order #31 and not have an acceptable solutions implemented by then (I think they've got less than 20 kits out, total).
For real HG, this thing hauls a$$ and the problem is not that big a deal (don't tell rocketman though ).

BTW, no a$$ness taken, I wouldn't trust my a$$ for a 4000 some doll hair purchase either
Better talk to Comptech yourself before taking the plunge.
