I pay about $110 per month for insurance in Los Angeles...while I think that's a lot, I wish that my car payments were that low!

I paid MSRP plus a tiny bit more for the OEM front lip since it was special ordered.
Handed the salesman (Bob Conrad-best Honda salesman in the area) $7000 check.
Financed about $28K.
And pay roughly $550 per month for the next 5 years at a loan rate of 5.5 %.
Insurance is about $1200 a year (I'm 27), but working to get that down more.
Lets see, oh, and yep, I was down in Antarctica for 3 months over the winter working with the National Science Foundation while saving money for the "S".
Was it worth waiting for over 6 months?
-Absolutely!! Everything I could have hoped for and more!!

i financed about 24k at 11% because im young and my credit wasnt very good.
It was for 5 and monthly payment is $523. Luckly my free cash flow is alot better then my credit rating and ill have it all paid off 4 years early and save about $6,000 of interest

I leased for 2 reasons.
1. I can't afford 10k down payment or $650 payments.
2. I have been changing cars way too often (Z3 cpe., 911, TT, S2K in 2 years) On a purchase you immediately throw away $2300 in sales tax, leases you only pay tax on the monthly payment.
I put 2K down and pay 399/mo, hopefully in a year or two the value will be high enough that I will be able to sell it for close to my payoff.

Today, there's an ad in the Chicago Tribune, from Grand Honda
36-month lease, $0 down, $395 per month. Or purchase for $30,500.
Just an FYI.
