I believe he is referring to Thinsulate. I added some in addition to the butyl matting and it helps a lot with noise.

Oh pffff 100%. Thats the only thing I don't love about it. I tried to slide the filler neck boot back a little but she wasn't having it.

What I did do was slide a little piece of cotton rag between the adjuster and boot ("accordion thingy"), it allows the collar to rotate a little smoother.

Installed Spoon Sports engine mounts, transmission mounts (comes with a new reinforced OEM transmission mount bracket/brace), and front/rear differential mounts.

Took around 4 hours to install everything working alone, but the time and money spent was well worth it. Should have done this sooner. The S is direct, crisper and more energetic feeling. Virtually no cons with these mods as it eliminates a ton of engine/driveline slop vs. the stock mounts.

The increase in NVH was pretty substantial for me, especially at idle. I have been thinking about going back to OEM since I put them in. Have you noticed a difference?

I used a large zip tie to help get the boot away from the adjuster..Tied the zip tie off to something back there and partially squeezed the boot off the cable.

I was indeed referring to something like Thinsulate by 3M.

Just for grins here is a thread on it:

Yes, the vibrations at idle are noticeable, no doubt. There is some added sound reverb at throttle in the cabin as well. I think the tolerance for the change is relative and subjective. The amount of crispness and improved shifting, downshifting, and reduction in diff slop vs. the added amount of NVH to me is what made me say virtually no cons to the mods.

Default Tribute to a legend

I will be attending the Laker's game this Friday and dressed my S2000 as a tribute to one of the greatest legends of the game!
