Getting the left rear wheel straightened (i.e. un-bent). I've been dealing with a vibration, at highways speeds, since Summer 2020 (37k with issue and tons of rallies).

I keep two sets of rear wheels (whish I had a 2nd set of front AP2 v2s!) and I noticed a difference in the vibration between my summer wheel/tire set and my A/S wheel/tire set.

If this fixes it... then two things will be coming, before I hit the Dragon in May...

* Have my summer wheel set checked and straightened, if necessary
* reinstall my OEM axles, with the cups flipped (went 3rd party, in an attempt to diagnose the vibration).

Found some very helpful information on S2ki yesterday evening, I was looking into the very low speed clanking noise coming from the left hand side of the car. A small but very influential post suggested removing, cleaning and tightening the axle nut. After snapping a breaker bar in half I did just that and It seems to have fixed the issue.

While doing so discovered the worst thing possible, rust. Gone right through the trunk boot. I cleaned it up best I could with a drill, wire wheel and some paint/primer. Sucks to see it though

Also installed "functionally" the Gaugeart Can Gauge which I've been handing onto for some time. I've got to say pretty cool product especially for monitoring multiple parameters at once. Once I have more sensors for oil temp/pressure and fuel pressure wired into the AEM EMS it'll have everything I need

I'll be curious to know how the day-to-day driving is with a lightweight flywheel I was looking at the very same one actually and was discussing it with one of my buddies who has used one on one of his vehicles, granted not an S2000, but he said it was almost unbearable to drive day to day

I had a 7lb flywheel in my old EK4 Civic (B16A) back in the day. Popular consensus told me it should have been a complete nightmare, but it took me all of 5 minutes to get used to it. It was my daily driver in a very hilly small city, and I never found it to be a problem, while getting a lot of joy from it in return.

I do not consider myself to be a pro driver by any stretch of the imagination.

I disagree.
THESE DAYS - anyone who drives an S2000 is a pro...
The average "driver" will master very little with respect to motoring... connecting to apple carplay though - that they have down, texting and driving has become second nature (until they run you over), selecting D to go forward and R to go backwards, yet never venturing into M (what does that stand for anyway?!). Has no clue what a clutch is let alone the 3rd pedal in our cars. And would rank a vehicle on number of USB ports above anything else.

Not today, but 2 days ago. I drove her, revving it out all the way to Kent Falls and back. Damn I love this car and a 50 degree day in December.

Driving a 20 year old sports car doesn’t make any of us safer or better drivers. I’m sure most of the ppl here text and drive and have automatic dailies.

driving it feels great. Honestly no issues driving around with an 8lb flywheel and the oem clutch. my GF got in the car and drove it just fine too. revs much quicker and combined with the ap2 transmission I really like the upgrades.

Default Lifted the Rear to Inspect the Suspension

When the weather got cooler, I started to hear to "clunk" from the driver's side rear of my '06 (68k). I lifted the rear to let me inspect the suspension. I checked the sway bar and the other suspension linkages, everything was tight. I also pulled out the trunk liner to check the shock tower, also tight. We've gotten warmer weather the last week or so and the noise is much less noticeable?
