Had a high idle, had to investigate. Turns out wo of the rubber nipples I used to plug the air intake vacuum ports after deleting the evap canister and purge system had cracked wide open. Running like a dream once more.

Slowly learning how to use AEM tuner, tweaking things to my liking

Replaced the 17 year old security system receiver.
The key fobs on the original had stopped working, so I tried reprogramming them, replaced the batteries, and checked all the appropriate fuses. When nothing worked, I just tried living without the system for a few months, but, damn, I missed that little flashing red light on the dash whenever I locked the car. Is it a deterrent? Probably not, but it made me feel better when it retuned.

Drove down to Islamorada for lunch, then back home. Beautiful day for a drive to the Keys.

No heat on idle. No air in system. Apparently bad thermostat and water pump.
Car is sitting for now while I wait for some parts from Majestic. Also figured might as well replace the thermostat switch and the serpentine belt at the same time.

Exercised the ABS unit. Just slammed on the brakes, safely in the rain.

Finally received a replacement for my passenger window motor regulator. Was a pretty quick fix actually, cleaned and replaced the assembly in just over an hours time. Very pleased to have the ability to use the soft top again, one of my favorite features of the car

It sure is a great feature. Top up or down in 6 seconds. You can do it at a stop sign or traffic light. Boom!
