Default What do I get to paint side skirts?

I just purchased a pair of C-west style side skirts for only $80 and I wanna know what do I need to buy to paint them myself to save money from taking them to a paint shop? Im assuming Lowe's/Home Depot has what I need right? What do I need to buy?

Cheaper to pay a shop to prep/spray it for you. Rattlecan or roller jobs are ghetto IMHO and never match right.

Make sure the skirts fit first, get them prepped and mounted.

Then take them off and have a body shop paint them for you.

You CAN get awesome results with a rattle can, but it requires a LOT of work.

I did some with duplicolor gloss black. Just take your time. Sparayed bulldog adhesion promoter (my sides were plastic). Then sprayed a few coats of black. Wet sanded with really fine sandpaper, then more coats of black. Then I did coats of clear coat. The trick is wetsanding the clear coat after every layer to give the gloss look and put it on thick letting the clear coat dry in the hot sun. It matches pretty good. It definatly looks better getting it professionally done, but it was fine for temporary.
