Default what to do with s?

So not too long ago, a spark plug failed and destroyed my engine. I searched for a complete block w/low mileage (at a reasonable price) but didn't find anything at the time. I kind of needed a vehicle so I bought myself a 09 Toyota Tacoma Now I have myself a brand new truck with new payments. Now for my little dilemma, what should I do with the S? I was thinking of selling it as is, but how much can one get for a non working car? how much would you be willing to pay? All it needs is a new engine.. The reason I ask is simple, if the offers are to low i'm just sticking with it until I have the time and money to blow off on a new engine... so give me your input guys..

ps. s2k is in pretty good condition besides the usual minor tears in the softtop. (1 inchers)

Not much. Might be better off parting it out.

Just curious: how many miles were on your plugs at the time? Were they stock?

You could sell the non-running car for ~$5000 or so.

Your betting off parting out. But it might take you some time to get everything sold. By that time you may have saved enough money to buy a new engine.
I dont understand though... you couldn't find an engine at a reasonable price but bought a new car. Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just buy the motor?

i'd say have patience, engines come up for sale in the classifieds every now and then for under two grand (they usually sell cheaper than hardtops), just wait and do a clean swap, then part out your old engine...

Part it out if you need to sell. Otherwise, be patient, I see blocks for sale all the time, but I don't know your definition of reasonable.

Good luck!

Find time and part it out. I know I'd be interested in some stuff off a MY03. Have fun with the Tacoma

i'd wait until i can afford a new engine. you won't get $5k for a 2003 with a blow engine.
