The gratious folks at Honda Care gave me a $20 a day allowance which rented me a red-yellow Dodge Neon. Whee-ha

I had it for 3 weeks

Since my car has been at the shop since Aug. 4th; I have been driving.

Great for those small parking spaces they are making now --- just like in the airplanes for us slimmer older folks!

I haven't had a loaner, and I've had, I think, 4 full days sans S2000 due to little things (valve cover gasket, dashboard replacement, etc). The dashboard was 2 days, but my dealer gives no loaners... You'd think with a car the caliber of the S2000, they would do a little better than that!

I will use this thread as an argument for a loaner when mine goes in for the seatbelt and they tell me I'll just have to sit on my arse and wait...

Right you are. I looked under the hood this morning to check it out. 2.3L /150 hp VTEC 4-banger under the heaviest (unsprung) hood in recent memory. Once I played with the 4 speed auto a bit I found the car has a little pep. I miss the surge and scream of my S2K though. I'll just turn up the stereo. Actually the stock 6 speaker stereo is pretty good. Much better than ours. If I owned this Accord I would probably hesitate to go aftermarket.

The V6 is where it's at for the aftermarket (for once, with a Honda anyway). Comptech makes some *****in headers, measured 18whp gain on our Dynojet! Not bad. They claim 20hp gain, in which case it's the first time I've seen an accurate claim for hp gains in the Honda aftermarket.

Actually I was only referring to the stereo, but the V6 Hondas are nice and certainly worth some aftermarket performance enhancement. I drove the Toyota Solara V6 and Accord 2DR V6, not your average Japanese sedan. Both easily outran my old Miata.
