this silver s2k was lowered with a set of KG/mm DR Racing springs. It lowers the car by 1.377 inches.

what's so special about these springs? dual rate strokes, linear bound/rebound - giving the ride a firm but not harsh nor bouncy feel. notice how the springs are designed?

for a multimedia presentation on why these springs are special:

it's in japanese, sorry, but the pictures tell a thousand words.

in case you're curious: they are $278 plus shipping (about $20-$25).

I have enough problems getting in and out of my garage without bottoming out. Another 1" loss and I might not make it!

Can't really tell the difference myself, but if it makes you happy!

Are the rates the same fnt/rear? I see 3kg/mm and 5kg/mm
for each one.

I just purchased these springs. They will be going on in about 2 weeks. Maybe I am crazy but I wanted to keep all my mods japanese. Anyway I will let you know how they feel when I put them on.

The store that I bought them from said they have sold 12 sets and no one has complained about a harsh ride. We shall see....

The top picture of this thread shows my stock when it was lowered about an inch with coil overs...

I hope that helped out.

mingster,

Nice, but really do not notice that much difference. Would like to hear more about the ride and handling.

HMMMM - Is that sunshine I see? Would someone please bottle up some +60 degree weather and send it north - I want to put my top down. 38 inches of snow on the ground and expecting 7 inches more tonight.

That is exactly the wheel gap I was trying to achieve by purchasing the Comptech adjustable springs... Perfect Mingster. When looking at my 2000 S2000 brochure poster on the wall of my office, your reduced wheel gap is definitely noticable...
