Default What does this mean!?

Hey im not very sharp when it comes to cars, but in time ill learn.

now this:
205/50/16
225/45/16

for wheel sizes. when some people says wheels do they mean rims or the actual tire? 2nd of all, what would I have to purchase to lower my car besides springs from HKS or whomever? If I were to change my rims to 1718's would I have to buy a different tire or can I just place the rims on the stock wheels? Thanks.

most of the time
wheel = rims
tire = tire

205/50/16
225/45/16 these are your tire sizes, the 16 at the end means these tires were ment for 16in rims. So no, you can use them if you go 17 or 18.

as for your 2nd question, you donot need anything besides the spings to lower, although if you would like to keep your proper camber you would want a camber kit. if you're gonna lower make sure you invest some good money into springs or coilovers, especially since the s2k is already pretty well tuned as it is (stock).

Man, you've got me mixed up now! I think you meant to say - can I place the stock tires on the new 17/18 inch wheels.

The answer is NO!

In the 205/50/16 & 225/45/16 - the 16 number stands for the number of inches a recommended wheel should be on these tires. If you go to a 17 inch wheel - you'll need tires that end in a 17. As far as the other numbers go, they have to do with tire size and offsets.

My advice to you: buy a tire & wheel package specifically designed by Tire Rack or Honda. Check the Tire Rack thread - find Jim's phone number in there and call him - he is great for steering people in a decent direction! Good Luck

Not you M-Type. You didn't have me mixed up. When I was replying to kooky your post wasn't up here yet - as soon as I posted my message - there you were - ruined the whole thing! (just kidding)
