what engine mods should i do
I just purchased my s2k, and want to make shure i m not going to loose against type R, 350z and WRX. I want to do some little engine mods, but with whomever i talk they tell me i cant do much to the car, since it s already tuned very well.
As for the moment i just ordered the AEM air filter. Everybody tells me i should to the exhaust system after that. What else can i do to get some little ponies in my car.
i have access to a AEM management system, but heard i should stay away from that?
I dont want to supercharge it or turbo charge it or put NOs.

If you don't wanna go forced induction or nos, you won't gain much but maybe a tenth of a second off your 1/4 times. They are right about it being a well tuned engine. In fact, some of those air filters and exhausts will make the S2000 lose power.
Since races against the cars you listed are often times a driver's race, I'd suggest a performance driving school. Other than that, short of FI, you'd probably be OK with a CAI, some fine-tuning of the engine (AEM or Apexi), and possibly a J's gear swap (4.44 seems to be the best match between performance upgrade and daily driveability). But I again emphasize the driving school; if someone chooses to race, they should make all efforts to do it as safely as possible.
i ve be ragin for a long time, i ve been in the bmw drive school also. I used to own one. Now i juts want to have a daily driver, with good reliability. As you know, it is going to be a big this summer between 350z, WRX,ITR, RX8 enventually. Just want to put the last ponies i need. It seems i m going to have to put NOs to make shure my win.
