What happened to the great resale values?
What happened to the great resale values of the S2000? It always used to be rated as one of the top cars for resale value. I believe it was actually rated as the #1 car for resale at one time. Those days are long gone.
I like to purchase new cars often and purchased a new "07" with the intention of driving it for a couple of years, getting it out of my system and moving on.
Granted, convertible prices drop in the winter months as demand drops, but this is rediculous. Brand new 07's were going for $28,000 and average trade in values
I was hearing about topped out at $24000. That's a pretty big drop in the first year. I'm seeing two year old Acura TSX's that sold for $27,000 still fetching $24,000. With the rebates and all, it looks like the S2000 has definately run it's course and is no longer considered a desirable car. Time for Honda to come up with a new design.

that and everyother day someone is in here making a thread asking how cheap they can get one for.
the price point got to the point where some people thought they could afford it and when they couldn't make the payments they were just trying to unload it.
if you get enough of those it drives down the resale value because people will just wait for others to screw up

If you are worried about resale just lease it. The price of the car at the end of the lease will be predetermined
