Default What happens to untitled MY04's

I have seen many advertisements for new MY04's still for sale. These are already 1 model year old, and thus have 1 year of "depreciation" on them. Do the dealers eventually drop the price on them? Or do they end up as "certified" used cars at some point?

Thanks.

They won't be sold as "used" unless they've been titled. You can get '04s pretty cheap if you take the time to look around and contact dealers.

They will all be sold, and yes, pricing comes down. I think I recently read about someone who bought a new 03.

When you say 'cheap' do you mean in the $27-$29k range, or even lower? I read something about Audi throwing all there unsold TT's into the certified used lot to clear them out and boost their used sales. What do you think I should expect to pay for an untitled '04?

Thanks

I bought MY 03' new this Jan. The car was help up in freight and ended up coming in so late the 04' models came in only a month later. So this car sat at the dealership. I was willing to wait until I found this car and got a good deal. Don't rush it and you'll get a great deal on a leftover.

They sell them for invoice, but in most cases, the cars probaby been demoed and has some miles on it. If they dont get a buyer, they ship them off to dealer Auctions. Either way the dealers not losing money on the car, but best case for a buyer, they're not making any monye off it either.

The dealer does lose money if a car doesn't sell. Check out edmunds.com as they have good articles on the what goes into pricing to assist the buyer to negotiate a fair price of a car.

Okay, so I just talked to a few dealers in my area and they are selling new 04's for $29,900 which is approximately $4k off sticker. Do I assume that this means I stand a chance of getting $4k off invoice if this is a factory to dealer incentive? I looked on Edmunds and can't locate any current incentives. Thanks for the help.
