Oh man, you are like a polishing machine! Those parts look great . Mind sharing with us how you do it? I would like to polish my intercooler piping, but I don't have a clue how to do it.

Nice job! I have only done a couple intake manifolds, and even then, only the finishing steps. Any chance you would offer a polishing service for the rest of us?

Good photos. I spent hours polishing my diff before putting it back in - it didn't turn out as nicely as yours. But what I spend hours polishing on long winter nights - at least for the past couple of years - is the Campagnolo Super Record group on my Kestrel 500 SCi. Put on the History Channel or whatever, disassemble the bike and clean the parts. A tube of Simichrome, some flannel and fine terry, painter's brushes, and those alloys eventually gleam again in that rich signature Campy way. (I find feathering-in around the rainbow "Shamal" decals on the spoke fairings particularly challenging.) No Dremel for this job. It's very tactile and very satisfying, not unlike building RC models, another good winter's pass time. But that's just me. I even Simichrome my Campy wrench sets.

Damn that is some nice polishing you did. I'm still working on my valve cover after like a year, I have a spare intake manifold which I haven't even started on. I'm actually thinking of Silver Jethot coating the intake manifold and compressor housing to maybe shield it from a little heat while it gets a nice shine. Then I can Jethot2000 the manifold and compressor housing. Don't know how well it'll work though.
