Took care of the "couldn't make the screw work" issue. When in doubt get a bigger screwdriver.

Put the top up (but didn't latch it in place) and there's a massive pull. WHAT THE HELL did I do wrong?

What are you doing with those metal tools on your car!!!!

You need to check the rain gutter and make sure that the holes on the top are bolted onto the rain gutter. From the looks of it, they are not.

When all else fails, take your car to a trim shop. You've done the majority of work so someone knowledgeable might be able to finish it off at minimal expense.

Just unbolt the bottom section and redo it. Problem solved.

They definately are bolted in. They were enough of a pain to get in, i know they're there. I'll try again, i guess.

The rivets were in the way of a lot, but every bolt is down. I'll take pics. Hang on.

Edit: Unless you're trying to say the rivet pulled out of the rainrail, and the rail is bolted down asnd the fabric is above it.

Hrm, i'll check that next time I have a chance to work on it.

Can you photograph the entire top? It is not installed properly... Where are you located?
