Hi Moe, good to see ya! I would hope that there would be a way to add a true rollbar to the S2K chassis. Here's my rollbar. I never plan on using it, but it sure does make the car a crap load stiffer!

That would mean you're not wearing a seatbelt. In my opinion, if you don't care enough about your life to take that one simple step to protect it, you deserve to die.

It's natural selection at work.

My friend told me that there was a accident involving an convertible corvette. I know this is kind of disturbing but his head was found somewhere around the crash site. Be very careful out there!!!

The black one that CG posted a pic of is, if I recall correctly, a Canadian accident in which the car was travelling at over 100 when the rollover occurred. Sorry folks, it's a great car, but I can't see any car holding up too well in a crash with speeds in excess of 100 mph, though I did see an NSX slide into a pole at 80+ about 2 weeks ago and the car sustained amazingly little damage!

Come on, when your car do flip over or roll your body will react. Without thinking, you would be ducking first, in that case your head will be positioned under the roll bar.
But like mentioned, windshield frame will be the one absorbing a chunk of impact.
If this still bothers you, get the aftermarket roll bar.
Suprisingly there are about 4 different aftermarket roll bars available out there and all of them are works with the convertible top.

CRitchie, you are absolutely correct. The forces involved can be beyond comprehension, throwing the occupants around like rag dolls! The "ducking you head" theory is a pipe dream.
