What insurance?
With progressive it was $280 per 6mo to add the S2000 with good coverage ($500 deductibles, $500k liability), but we have two other vehicles on the policy. I did a quick quote with Grundy (who insure a specialty car for us) and they're about $500 for the year, but with the benefit of agreed value. Might switch over to them when up for renewal. It's a crapshoot what the payout would be with a non-agreed-value policy.
So right now I have Geico insurance on my new to me S2K, they have no provision for a "toy or collector" type car. I carry full coverage on all my vehicles with the S2K being no exception, but going with Geico its more expensive than both my other vehicles (2010 Dodge Ram Lariat 4x4 and 2014 Dodge charger). Does not seem right to me as the other two are daily drivers and the S is just an occasional driver.
Yesterday I ran across American Collectors Insurance and it was half the price per year as Geico with the same coverage and no deductible, anyone have any experience with them or have someone else you would recommend?
Thanks
Scott

Not exactly sure. Best I could figure it was a very small chip that spread. There was nothing that seemed visible to the eye and then one day I went out to the car and there was a crack on the passenger side.
I have never had this happen before both my former daily driver truck and my WRX , which led much tougher lives than my S have had and have a stone crack in the windshields and they never spread.

^ I've had those stone chips that sometimes spread and crack. The last stone chip was in the black edge of the glass that you see on many cars, and you couldn't see the chip, but it eventually spread and cracked quite large. It is best to fix stone chips if you see them fast enough, as the repairs can prevent them from spreading much worse. I traded a vehicle in which had a stone chip, I had it fixed and that was good enough for them, they didn't give me any grief over it because I had it fixed professionally. You can buy repair kits yourself in some auto shop stores now too. I've lost a lot of windshields over the years , all from stone chips, and I do a lot of highway driving.
