Royal Purple FTW! Good SH!T$.

Oh I also use 10W-30.
SO i hear, royal purple is a waste unless your built or turbo'd..

lubricates the same, but has a higher breakdown level for heat..

heat that your non turbo-built motor never see's (i think)

forgive me if im wrong. but why 10w? especially over winter... when its harder for oil to flow?

and wow! dude use a honda oil filter man
haha. oh sorry i didn't mention my climate..i'm in miami right now for school. i go to UM. and i rarely drive my S in the winter anyways..but it never really gets that cold in pittsburgh, pa. so 10w-30 works fine for me. and i use to use honda's pcx filter, but it's just easier to get the mobil 1 b/c advance auto is about 2 mins away from me. they're both good filters, so i just use mobil 1. just be sure to get the honda filters made by filtech..not the ones made by fram. fram sucks.

The honda PCX filter for the S2000 is a 'High-flow' design, there is a question whether or not some aftermarket filters allow enough flow for operation beyond the VTEC crossover.

............royal purple is a great oil,,,,but not for the daily driver as stated above, its a race oil and good for the track but breaks down quickly like after a few track sessions. I started using amsoil 10-40, and i consume less oil now. Mobil 1 10-30 is good as well.

How much longer does synthetic last than dino, and does the Maintenance Minder take that into consideration?
