What to look for with a used s2k? any buying tips?
My first post here!
I've been in the market for a roadster and after seeing what the S2000 can do i fell in love.
A few questions before i start seriously looking for a car. What should i look for when inspecting the car? I dont want one that someone has moded and tore up. Anything else i should look for or ask the owner/dealer?
I am looking to get a low mileage 2003-2004, i have not driven the 2004 yet but i was very impressed with the 2003 and like the style options of the 04. Would it be worth my while to get a honda certified car? What price should i expect to pay?
If i dont find an offer i cant refuse now i might wait until the spring so i dont have to use the car for the winter, might be more 2004s out then too.
Thanks for any words of advise on my purchase

I am on my second S2000....just picked it up a few hours ago. I looked for an 04' and worked a deal for invoice....the car sold, but actually found an 05' that came in yesterday and got it for invoice +few hundred...Why look for an 04? If you want new, look for a low volume or small dealership and wait for the first snow!
First of all, welcome to the board.
I realize you are new here, but if you'd take a look around and read some of the threads posted by others before starting a new thread of your own, it would help everyone. There is already a perfectly good current thread about this exacy topic one away from your post:

There are already 22 replies to that thread, maybe some of those replies would be useful to you as well. Good luck.

Oh man, i did not see that thread until just now! lol and i've done tons of searches so far and learned a ton of information. Thats how i decided on the 2003-2004 model because most of the bugs have been worked out.
I was just wondering about any problems that occur with the s2k that i could look out for. That other thread is soo different too, he's from canada and looking for a MY00
