I am considering buying an S2000 soon (just sold my Z3) and I am hoping you all can tell me what I need to look for in a used car. Are there typical problems with the S2k, like the subframe issue on BMW Z3, snap ring on the NSX, etc? Is there a year to avoid? Is there something to check that could indicate abuse?

Also, how is the maintenance on these cars? Mostly change oil and go? Is there a 30k mile inspection, or something like it, and how much does it cost? How hard is general maintenance? How costly?

I am sure you get the idea of what I am looking for. I am new to this board so if all this information is already here somewhere please let me know. I searched before I posted and didn't find it.
