What to look for when buying second hand?
Hi, I've been reading for a couple of weeks and am on the point of buying a second hand S2000. I'm looking for advice on what I should particularly pay attention to before I hand over the cash.
The car is a November 2000 registered French model with 30,000km. It has a hard top, otherwise no other modifications I know of.
The owner volunteered that there had been a clutch problem and this had been replaced under warranty. I know about this issue having read various articles here.
I also read about the wheel corrosion issue so I'll pay attention to that, but it looks like I should be able to get them replaced under warranty if they deteriorate (potential bargaining point?).
I know to carefully check the condition of the rear window. I have only seen the car with the hard top fitted so far but of course I will inspect the soft top before buying it.
Is there anything else you suggest I should check, particularly things that might not be covered by the warranty?
Thanks

check all the service history just like other used car, make sure the ex owner had done all the work accord to schedule and server the car at a Honda Dealer or a center that have experience about S2000.
careful the body that may find spot show the car had got in accident or not.
check all TSB records, to see if the car have all the TSB or not
yes, you must check the rear plastic window, that can see that the ex-owner had proper take care of the car or not,
and then check how many tread left on the tires, is it OEM tires?, tires is very expensive if this is not a big problem.
