Default What makes the biggest difference in acceleration?

Just curious as to which modification makes the biggest difference in acceleration, 0-60 and 1/4 mile? I have been going back and forth with this issue and would like other opinions. I think the 4.57 gears would make a more noticeable improvement in low rpm acceleration but would they actually allow the S2000 to out accelerate a Super Charged S2000 with the stock gearing? I am leaning towards the Super Charger as I like the fact that my freeway cruising rpms will be unchanged, vs. if I installed the 4.57 gears, I would be cruising at about 400 rpm more at 75 mph.

So which is quicker to 60 and through the 1/4 mile? An S2000 with 4.57 gears, or an S2000 that has stock gears but has been Super Charged with the Comptech Super Charger with After Cooler?

Thanks!

Turbo's are more efficient than Super Chargers, but cost allot more as well, and I hear that they are a little harder to tune. So yes, a Turbo would probably out accelerate a Super Charged car, but there is also much more in cost.

My question again is, which will accelerate more quickly between a Supercharged car and a car with 4.57 gears? Both to 60 mph as well as thought the

umm. where are you reading this stuff from??

superchargers are just more reliable then the turbo and is easier to deal with...

- if you have little knowledge of cars and such, and you just want more power but not crazy power...just get a supercharger..
- if you truly know what you're going and you're going for high hp number go turbo...

Why hasn't anyone mentioned the difference in cost between these mods?

Supercharger/aftercooler, etc. etc ~$4000+
Gears, installation, reinforced diff, etc. etc ~ <$1000

Sorry, prices are guesstimations, but still... it's kind of a big difference, no?

Oh yeah, and another reason everyone is quick to recommend a supercharger over a turbo setup is emissions, or at least here in CA.
