What makes the NSX a supercar and the S not?

BTW, I agree with all the comments about the NSX on the track. That is where the rubber meets the road, pun intended, and that is where the NSX can compete with the exotics (see BMI videos of it competing very well against Ferrari, Lamborghini (sp?), Porsche at Twin Ring Motegi). Our S2K's would not fare nearly as well, regardless of the ostensibly small differences in snap shot performance numbers.

how about you take the nsx to the track vs the s2000 then you will see the difference
That really gets to the essence of the matter. Comparing a GT car to a sports car is like comparing apples and pigs. Forget about comparing the NSX and the S2000 and try comparing ANY GT car with ANY sports car.Sports cars are open roadsters, and long distance cruising at high speeds can be harrowing. They are designed for sharp handling at lower speeds than a GT car because GT cars are (by an old R&T definition) designed to carry two to four people from point A to point B in minimum time and maximum comfort. It's like comparing my Miata to my XJ-40, and while we can compare apples and pigs if we like I don't think the comparisons make any sense at all.
Is anyone denying that the NSX and S2000 are two TOTALLY different cars with TOTALLY different design goals and target markets? Given that, isn't it dumb to compare the two?
S2000 has shown its ability to beat the NSX on low speed autocrosses, a sport custom made for sports cars. On a fast track, the NSX holds all the cards, because it is in its element.
Let's compare the MG Midget with the Enzo. Makes as much sense as comparing the S2000 and NSX, doesn't it?
