i was just curious? how fast are you going at the end of second before you hit third?

I believe it's 65..some people have bounced the rev and have even hit 70, I think.

68-70mph ... taching around 9200-9400rpm... I shift at 66mph, right at 9-9.1k

Speedo's aren't that accurate. they are only supposed to be accurate at 55mph, anything less or more than that - it doesn't matter from the manufacturer's point of view. Personally, my speedo reads 4mph faster than it really is. I've tested this with two GPS systems. Its very consistent and doesn't matter if I'm going 20 or 120, its still only 16 and 116.

And just because you are only shifting one gear doesn't mean too much. It all has to do with gearing and the horses. For instance, a Diablo - old 2wd one not sure about the 4wd verson - would go to 62 in first gear. Heck, my Mustang would go up to 75 in second gear with stock 2.73 gears (but that was on an '88).
