at what mph does 2nd end in the s2000

Keith, you are correct that your larger rolling radius tires make the speedo more accurate, the stock tires make speedo off by ~3-4% (indicating faster than true).
So the people that saw an indicated 170 were really just over 160 if on stock size tires.

3rd isn't really the problem it's more when your hitting 2nd, your have to shift mega fast to keep the car in lift from 1st-2nd and it's actually caused a lot of people to jack up their synchros cause they've been trying to shift too fast, then i have heard of a few morons who just stayed on the gas when they shifted and were able to keep it in lift but they are having quite a bit of tranny problems now. On the other hands some people haven't had any problems and have no problem keeping it in lift. I think it's harder to stay in lift for the 02's cause of the lowered rev-limiter, no more shifting at 8200, now it's like 7600, lift kicks at 6k.
