Are these gear ratios optimized for S2000?
I've read that almost 99% of the cars are geared so that it will reached 60mph before a need for 3rd gear.. By doing this, it might make some gears unnecessarily tall and result in drop off from the powerband.. One of the car like this is the Celica GT-S... I believe it was from the SCC mag. |
I think the gear ratio is pretty good and close. All S2000 can go from red-line to red-line without dropping off VTEC power band. I know we have a very short Final Drive (4.1). To still achieve the result that the car already have is amazing due to lack of torque.

Call me a liar..............I swear though that I broke seventy in second. (71 I think?) It was when I first got the car and was trying to impress my friend. I'll never do that again!
