Default What options should I get?

I might be taking delivery of a white s2k tomorrow and they asked me about what options did i want? for example, pin stripes(yeah right), lugnuts, side strakes, front lip spoiler, rear spoiler, mud guards...etc.

is it better to buy these parts online and install them myself. what do you guys recommend?

btw, i don't think i have an option for the lugnuts...pretty much all of the s2k's on the lot have them installed already.

thanks

are mud guards necessary or do they make the car look bad?

front lip is definately going to be an option for me.

Dealers usually charge way too much for these things... I would definitely get the locking lugs, but make sure your not getting taken on them (I had the dealer give them to me when I bought the car...) As for everything else, get what you like and if the dealer gives you a good price - installed - go for it.

Personally, I like the car without any of the add-on "aerodynamic" pieces, but everyone has their own taste on that stuff.

hartopguy (works for one of the sponsors) sells the front lip spoiler for a little over 300 painted and shipped. I forgot which dealership he works for but if your dealership charges over 400 for the front lip then just order it from him.

I'd go for aftermarket side strakes because Airwalker side strakes you great! I believe "funsdead" has a GPW S2K with them on

I would avoid the side strakes; they put a hole in the body when they install them. As far as spoilers and wings, that is up to you, I'm not a big fan of the OEM front spoiler on a white or yellow car because the black rubber trim that protects the bumper from being scratched from the spoiler looks tacky to me. As far as mud guards, I was not aware Honda even offered them on this car. For me I have found the stretchy nets for behind the seats are handy. For me, there was only one option I wanted, and that was the hardtop.

And ejis is 100% on target. Check out the prices hardtopguy can get stuff at before you over pay your dealer.

And by the way, congratulations! You will love this car!

I got mine w/ nothing on it, and the only thing I added to the exterior for looks is the front lip splitter from coastal metal.
IMO, that looks better than plain black S w/o the front add ons. If you want the front OEM, get it from hardtop guy and install it yourself, it shouldn't be that hard. And, I think mine came w/ mud guards, they all do, I think.

But, definitely check out other options. There was a group buy a while back for other front lips, different styles, for cheaper than OEM.

RazorV3, I'm in Arlington. I usually have extra free time, I'll help you install the mods. We can use Ft. Myers' garage, they have one of those hydrolic lifts. It only costs $3-4/hr to use.

If not, just go w/ factory stuff. Either way, you can't loose. They all look great!

Congrats,

LT

pardon my ignorance, but all s2k's DO come with floor mats right? b/c when i was sitting in it, it didn't have it. im guessing they leave out the floors mat while parked on the lot so it doesn't get dirty right?
