Default what RPM to shift for BEST speed/time

Hi, from what i heard, if you shift exactly at 9000 you'll actually LOSE a few miliseconds off your 0-60 or 1/4 mile time...so what's the exact RPM should i shift in order to harness all of the S2000 potential...let me know...thanks.

You want to maximize the "area under the curve" of the HP curve. I leave it to you to do the homework.

hint: the transmission has specified ratios, so you will know where you will land in the next gear. You have a specific RPM range that you want to mazimize the power delivered in.

solution: figure out the partial integral at the RPM range and compare it to other integrals that would arise if you shifted at another point. Highest one wins!

Shift when you see our built-in rev limiter light flash.

Shift when the rev limiter kicks in is at 9000rpm, but top HP/TQ is reached at 8300RPM...wouldn't this be the RPM to shift in???
