Default At What Rpm's Should I Be Shifting?

I just got finished breaking in my new S2000. It has a little over 1000 miles on it. My question is: At what rpm's should I be shifting in say 1st through 4th. When does the VTEC kick in, I have not noticed a difference.

I'd keep it under 9000.

Sounds about right.

I think Honda recommends shifting at around 4k RPM or something. It's in the owner's manual. The OM gives you the optimal speed you should be going in each gear.

The car doesn't go anywhere under 3k RPM anyway.

When the red light blinks, it's time to shift

If you wanna have some real fun, cruise in rush hour traffic between 6k and 8k rpms.
