At What Rpm's Should I Be Shifting?
If you wanna have some real fun, cruise in rush hour traffic between 6k and 8k rpms.
Yeah, that's always fun. If I'm in no hurry, I'll shift at ~4krpm, but if I'm in a good mood, I'll be hitting redline every shift (though it may not be full throttle acceleration, I'll still only shift at >8000rpm).
Another thing that's fun: Driving 25-30mph in your neighborhood in 1st gear. It's fun, though I don't think your neighbors would approve.

If you are in a middle of a turn/on ramp when it's raining and you have worn tires, then it's good to shift at about 10,700 rpm. Make sure you keep the gas floored when you abruptly let the clutch out.

Try this with the cruise control on.

Been there, done that... for a couple miles of Seattle rush hour traffic.. never got it out of 1st gear
