i am picking up a s2k on saturday and there are two im looking at. at 2000 with 27K on it in perfect condition, or a 06 with 30K in perfect condition. i like the rims on the 06 better but i heard that the older models are faster. what is a better buy? both are silver with black interior but the 06 has trim of red throughout the inside.

 

i wouldn't say that the "older models", the AP1s (the ones with the 9K redline) are necessarily faster.

the best thing would be to test drive both the AP1 and the AP2 and see which you like better.

i have an AP1, so obviously i'm biased.

 

Drive both and see which one you like more... Don't have people you don't know choose something sigificant, like a car, for you. Buy out of what you like, not what others like.

 

I'll be honest, and I'll try not to be biased. First off, I had an 03, traded in for an 06 a year later. Putting the cars aside, that 06 is most likely still in warranty, the 00.... not so much.

Like others said, go for a test drive and see what you like. But my advise is, get the 06.

P.S.- Every year S2000 is the same, slow.

whats the price difference between the two. Personally I would go with the 06 its newer.

 

How much are they? Even though the 00 has low miles its still 8 years old so you may need to replace the top if theirs any ware on it. I would go 06 just because its newer.

 

00 9k redline thats mostly how I made my decision

 

if the '00 still has a plastic rear window, get the '06
