I was just cruising today with the top down (yay for socal weather!) and spotted a swarm of seagulls above and wondered how much it would suck if myself or my interior got splattered. I also saw a car hit a bird and the impact sent it straight up in the air and it fell back down right next to me. Don't know what I'd do if that dead bird landed on me or somewhere in my car... so I am just posting this up to see what kinds of things have fallen or made their way into your car while driving top down!

 

well i was leaving my ex-girlfriends house and i was at a stop sign at like 2am. Well i stopped and something flew down into my car. I looked over and it was a freaking owl!!! Scared the shit out of me!!!!

Sorry to threadjack....

Just makes me remember a time I was in my Jeep after a thorough car wash. I parked it under a shady tree by the beach. Only thing missing was that my hardtop was on.

I turned off the music and simply enjoyed the ambient sounds of the surf and happy birds. Lots and lots of happy birds, chirping and singing.

You can imagine the horror I felt when I left the jeep to throw away my coffee cup. My just-washed jeep was PAINTED with bird poo! It was horrible

Still, ignorance was bliss for a while there.

Rocks.

Being 6'2" means I'm right at the top edge of the car. I've been hit a couple times in the forehead by gravel that's been kicked up.

I still like the one from Sideways when he got attacked by a flying burrito.

bird poo incident here too. i was driving down the scenic highway and a sea gull dropped a massive white bomb that covered half my windshield. if i was going just one mile an hour faster it would have knocked out my wife. doing the speed limit ftw...

 

I've never had anything hit me in my car, but I drove my dad's MX5 somewhere and a bird shit on me... it was like pieces of a granola bar, so it wasn't that bad.
