[QUOTE=RED MX5,Feb 17 2008, 03:08 PM] There is also a lot of lift at the back of the car.

You will not even feel a difference with that wing. It will not make the front end light.

That wing is strictly for looks.

I always wondered about this, so should you get the mini spoiler before doing the speed runs, or will this just make the front end light?
I think you need something much more substantial than the little mini-spoiler add-on.

It would take a LOT of downforce to produce lift at the front; Much more than you need to offset the lift at the back.

You don't "need" a wing to go fast, but it makes the car feel a lot more secure at speed, and IMO, easier to control.

I got up to 155 MPH on a track once. It was slightly down hill and I had a perfect launch. The S2000 isn't the most aerodynamic car, you can really feel the drag at that speed.

There is also a lot of lift at the back of the car. A wing can eleminate the rear lift, but adds drag, lowering the cars top speed.

Top speed runs going down an incline don't really count. Our RX300 will do 150 if the hill is steep enough and long enough, but the top speed on a level road is closer to 110.
Hehe, yea I know, but just trying to state the top speed the stock AP1 gearing allows.
